A picture in a down store displays an image of the celebrating goal in the Champions League soccer match with the text, Passion. Reflected in the window is the Masque across the street. That’s a metaphor of Morocco. Islam is evident in ways both dominant and subtle. Some may wear traditional dress & pray at home or at Masque, but
practice varies. Yet the spirit of Islam permeates the place, the streets, the taxis, calls to prayer and the daily greetings. Life unfolds with passion: meals cooked at home, sharing food, conversation, greetings to family & strangers alike, sharing coffee at cages & restaurants. Cross streets with haste, but safely across slow down and marvel at the passion of this place.
