11 things I’ll miss about Rabat

Today is our last full day in Rabat. I’m sad to be leaving my host family and the routine we have made for ourselves here, but very excited to go to the mountains and see what life is like there. From what we’ve learned so far, it will be very different. However, there are many things I’m really going to miss about Rabat, including,

1. warm rolls, peanut butter, and mint tea for breakfast
2. playing charades in order to communicate with people
3. watching Pretty Little Liars with Arabic subtitles
4. giving my host mom opinions on names for her baby
5. espresso during break at LPG Cafe next to our school
6. catching up on the gossip from our 18 year old host sister’s school
7. Arab Idol
8. wandering around the Medina and bargaining for stuff that’s already extremely cheap
9. trying to decode Egyptian soap operas
10. Tajine for dinner
11. Tea time
