Our last week in Morocco was spent in the Atlas Mountains in the village of Zawiyat Ahansal. We were put up at the sheiks house during that time and got to meet some of his family and other people around the house. There were two little girls, Heba and Saadiya, always running around the courtyard entertaining themselves and others, especially our group. One night was spent outside the village of Taghia, which was about a 7-8 mile hike from Zawiyat to our campsite. The mountains were a beautiful setting to hike through and we had perfect weather for it. It was sunny but not blistering hot. Our time here went extremely fast and I wish we would have had a longer stay in the mountains to absorb the atmosphere of life there a bit deeper.
